Alpha 1.4 Update


Greetings and salutations Gamers,

We here at Lark and Rogue Games hope you're all doing well. We're happy to announce that due to feedback we've received on the game, we've implemented a series of mechanic changes and bug fixes.

Gameplay

  • The amount of healing items has been limited in chests.
  • Explosives will now only have a chance to generate in chests and will have a smaller amount generated.
  • Equipment stat generation has been changed, making the stats of the equipment more varied.
  • The modifiers influenced by the stats have all been increased.
  • Barriers in battle are weaker.
  • Damage of both weapons will be shown in battle, as well as ranged weapon hit chance.
  • The explosives item has been given a unified name throughout the game.
  • The visual timer for enemy spawns has been gotten rid of.
  • The possibility of enemy attacks now only occurs if the player moves.
  • You can now only choose a limited amount of items from a chest before it breaks.
  • The number of chests that spawn has been decreased greatly and their positioning has been further randomized.
  • An in-game guide has been implemented to explain the mechanics and controls of the game.

Bug Fixes

  • The highlighted half of a wall will no longer stay highlighted after a player enters a battle with it highlighted.
  • The game will no longer think the player will have beaten a floor if they fight and defeat a normal enemy in the maze after the first floor.
